Shanghai Abm Rock Wool Dafeng Co., Ltd has been researching rockwool substrates for nearly 20 years. The UPuper® hydroponic rockwool growing media has launched are rich in categories and are constantly accepted and loved by growers all over the world. However, we know that we have not yet accumulated enough experience in the impact of different subtle structures of rockwool media on the root growth of different crops, and lack rich practical experience. In order to further research the impact of subtle differences in each substrate on the root system, and better provide a high-quality growth environment for the root system, so as to increase crop yields and improve crop quality, the company built the UPuper®'s own smart greenhouse at the Dafeng manufacturer base in early 2024.

The UPuper® smart greenhouse was put into use in late April. To facilitate experimental research, the greenhouse has set up multiple irrigation zones, which provide convenience for customizing exclusive irrigation and fertilization plans for different crops. The greenhouse's advanced sensor technology and automatic control system can keep crops in the best indoor environment. Advanced monitoring equipment and data analysis methods have accumulated detailed data for real-time recording of crop growth conditions.

After three stages of seedling raising, transplanting and planting, the first batch of plants planted in the UPuper® smart greenhouse trial have grown, cucumbers have matured and been successfully harvested, tomatoes, melons and sweet peppers are green and growing well, and there will be a fruitful harvest in the future. The stable and excellent performance of UPuper® rock wool growing media provides a good guarantee for the uniform growth, high quality and high yield of the first batch of crops in the greenhouse.

We will rely on the intelligent control and detailed original data of UPuper® smart greenhouse, in-depth analysis and research, to provide more research support for the development and optimization of UPuper® rock wool substrate, optimization of irrigation schemes, and increase of planting categories. At the same time, the accumulated planting experience can also better help growers from around the world analyze and solve various problems in planting, and provide them with better quality and professional services.
